"Tropical Amsterdam" is a story about a community left behind by colonialism in Sri Lanka.

It's a dazzling community stuck between staying or leaving, illusion and reality, dancing tango under slow-circling fans, dining on Dutch china with blue windmills next to coconut palms, crazy for spices and tea. A world populated by abandoned brides, patriarchal fathers, angry sons, and deadly female spirits.  
 

Selected for the 2007 Discovery Campus Masterschool an EU MEDIA-supported initiative that develops international coproductions.
