In 2006 Alexa's award winning documentary debut WEEKEND WARRIORS was theatrically released in Germany. It is a humorous film about young enthusiasts of American style football in Germany and their way of dealing with "what it means to be a real man in modern life".

Further credits include documentary film segments for tv broadcasters ARTE, VOX and ARD as well as screenplays for ZDF. Alexa's short fiction films, and her film version of a theater play have been showcased in Art movie theaters and at festivals worldwide, and have won several awards.

A recent participant of Discovery Campus Masterschool, Alexa has been educated at CECC film school in Barcelona and at NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. Additional post graduate studies at EICTV in Cuba have been supported by a scholarship from the Carl Duisberg Society.

Alexa Oona Schulz is a professional member of the German Director's Guild, BVR.
